Alojzije was born June 2, 1934, the son of Josip and Milka Sudac in Jugovac, Croatia. He married Ljubica Cigic in 1958. Alojzije was a Supervisor at the Shoe Factory in Karlovac, Croatia. In 1989, Alojzije joined his wife and son who immigrated to the United States. Alojz and Ljubica lived many years in Strawberry Hill and attended St. John the Baptist Church. In the U.S.,
Alojzije worked at KCI Machine Shop where he later retired in 2001. He was a member of the Croation Fraternal Union and the Croatian American Social Club. He enjoyed curing meats and making wine every year. Alojz loved to sing, play cards, and watch Wheel of Fortune and Price is Right. Like everyone, he greatly enjoyed eating Ljubica’s cooking and baking.
Alojzije was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Ivica; two brothers and two sisters. He leaves behind his wife of 67 years, Ljubica; daughter, Zlata (Zeljko) Kovacevic of Kansas City, KS; son, Zlatko (Carrie) Sudac of Olathe, KS; Grandchildren, Miroslav (Elizabeth) Kovacevic of Kansas City, MO; Slobodan (Kristina) Kovacevic of Karlovac, Croatia; Michelle Sudac of Shawnee, KS; and Patrick (Cali) Sudac of Baltimore, MD. Great-Grandchildren, Lorena Kovacevic of Karlovac, Croatia; Sebastian Kovacevic of Kansas City, MO; and Isla Sudac of Baltimore, MD.
