Loving mother of the late Leslie (May 21, 2021) (Mary), Liz Wolf (Bill), and Mike Turos (Heather). Cherished Grandma of Maryanne (Robert) Griffiths, Richard Varro (Joanne) and the later Robert Varro (2020). Oma of Frasier Varro, Gisele Varro.
Ana was Born in Croatia, a country she loved dearly. She was overjoyed to return to Croatia and during those visits she also went to Medugorje. She came to Canada in 1957. Ana had a strong Faith. She was a member of School Sisters of Notre Dame, member of St. Mary’s CWL, and Legion of Mary.
How rare to find a person whose mission in life is to help others! Ana Bajer is one of those treasured few.
She was well-acquainted with long-term care well in advance of becoming a resident herself because of the time she spent there visiting, comforting, and helping residents.
It was only when Ana’s health started to fail that she became a resident. Since then, despite her own challenges, Ana politely asked for permission to sit with residents who are sick or palliative so that she could comfort them. If someone is unable to do something on their own, Ana helps out. She was known for making hundreds of rosaries for the less fortunate. Ana is a kind, gentle, caring lady, and the world is a better place for having her.
Friends are welcomed to join the family for visitation at Sacred Heart Church 131 Thames Street North, Ingersoll on Monday from 10-10:45am followed by Mass of the Christian Burial at 11 am. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Those wishing to attend must register with Sacred Heart Church. Face masks and social distancing required.
