She was born to Mijo and Ana Lončarić (Kraševac) in the village of Donji Bukovac, settlement of Žakanja, within the county of Karlovac, Croatia on November 4, 1929. She was the oldest of four siblings, Marica, Mijo, and Zlatica. Ana was predeceased by and is reunited with her husband George (1995) and her son Joseph (1962). She is survived by her sons John (Barbara) and Mike, as well as her cherished granddaughter, Jennifer (Riley).

Ana emigrated to Hamilton in 1953, carrying with her an unwavering compassion and a luminous spirit. Over the decades, she became a pillar of warmth and grace, touching countless lives with her quiet strength and boundless kindness.

She was the true embodiment of selfless love, and an enduring gift sent from God above. Her culinary creations and skills were not merely meals but expressions of her soul, bringing solace, joy, and a sense of belonging to all who gathered at her table.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Tram, Mom’s kind, and devoted nurse, and the compassionate PSWs who cared for her in the sanctuary of her home. Additionally, we express our heartfelt appreciation to the resolute staff at Wentworth Lodge Nursing Home, where Mom spent the final three and a half years of her life. The nurses, PSWs, and doctors not only provided remarkable care but also treated her with dignity and tenderness that words cannot fully convey. Their unwavering commitment and kindness offered comfort and solace during her final journey, ensuring her days were marked by respect and love.

Would also like to extend my deepest gratitude to Mom’s nieces, nephews, and cousins, whose unwavering kindness and steadfast support have been a profound blessing to her throughout the years, weaving a tapestry of love and care that has enriched her life immeasurably.
