Surrounded by the love of her family, Ane passed away peacefully at the Bob Kemp Hospice on Thursday December 17, 2020 at the age of 81. Predeceased by her loving husband Mirko. Deeply missed by her children Vinko (Leesa) Lovnicki, Sandra (Misko) Lovnicki, and Kathy (Dennis) Husnjak. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Ashley Lovnicki, Matthew Husnjak, and Joseph Husnjak.
Ane was born the youngest of nine children on March 27, 1939 in Glavica, Croatia to Miho and Kate Frankovic. She married her beloved Mirko in 1958, and they made their home in Canada in 1962. Widowed at a very young age, Ane dedicated her entire life to family. She was an extremely hard worker, in and out of her home. She had a passion for gardening, cooking, and baking, and most of all loved her Buffalo shopping road trips! In her later years she made sure to keep up with current events by watching entertainment news, and was always able to tell you the latest CNN updates. She was an incredible mother, and a doting grandmother. All who knew her loved and respected her. She will be missed by many friends, neighbours and family.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of the Bob Kemp Hospice and the nurses and PSWs from Bayshore Healthcare for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Bob Kemp Hospice, the Canadian Lung Association, or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
In accordance with the regulations of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario due to COVID-19, all events are restricted to a specified number of attendees. Please RSVP for Visitation in advance by calling 905-547-1121. All visitors are asked to remain in their vehicles until their allotted time. Visitors are also required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
Vigil Prayers at 4 p.m. Due to the current health restrictions, a private Funeral Service will be held, with private interment at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery.
