In Memory of Andrija (Andrew) Dzanko, 89, of Euclid, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on July 18, 2023. He was born on October 6, 1933 in Mladeskovci Glamoc in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Andrija came to the United States in 1961 and married his beloved Marica in 1962. Together they built a beautiful home where they raised their two children and grandchildren. Andrija worked very hard for many years as a machinist until his retirement, upon which he opened Giovanni's Pizzeria with his wife. Andrija was a hard worker, an inspiring family man, and avid parishioner of St. Paul Croatian Catholic Church. Anyone who met Andrija could never forget his soft-spoken, loving nature and infectious, kind smile. Andrija will be deeply and forever missed by his family and friends.
Andrija was a loving husband to Marica (deceased) for over 61 years. Loving father of Steven and Kathy (deceased) Dzanko. Dearest Dida of Sara (deceased) and Luka Dzanko. Beloved son of the deceased, Bozo and Lucija Dzanko. Brother of Jela Dzanko (deceased), Milica Dzanko (deceased), Mato (Celia) Dzanko (deceased), Andelka (Mike) Vranic (deceased), and Melita (Wally) Ragus.
