Angelo Smircic, 80, of Jones Creek, TX, loving husband and father passed away on November 14th, 2024. Angelo was born to Valentin and Ljubica Smircic on November 25th, 1943 in Premuda, Croatia. Angelo married Clide Dean May at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Freeport, TX on April 18th, 1967.
Angelo proudly served in the Croatian Marines from 1964 to 1966. Angelo worked for 58 years as a Boat Captain in the Oil and Shrimping Industry. Angelo loved his life on the water, his family and most of all, his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Angelo is preceded in death by his parents, Valentin and Ljubica Smircic; and brother, Pete Smirch.
Angelo is survived by his wife of 57 years, Clide Dean Smircic; son, Steve (Cinnamon) Smircic; daughter, Gina Smircic; Grandchildren, Laura, Sarah, Orin and Emily; Great-grandchildren, Adriana, Gary, Emeri and Angelo.
Serving as pallbearers are Mili Mezulic, Denis Mezulic, Dean Mezulic, Jeff Smirch, JoJo Smirch, and Chris May.
