Peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on March 18, 2021 in her 74th year. Beloved wife of Stjepan Mesic. Loving mother of the late Mladen Steve Mesic and Davor Nick Mesic (Agatha Benincasa). Cherished Baka of Devante, Celeste and Dominik.
She will be sadly missed by Sharon Dorr and Dubravko Turcic, other family and friends in Canada and Croatia. Anica was a longtime, dedicated parishioner of Holy Cross Church.
In accordance with the regulations of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario due to COVID-19, all events are restricted to a specified number of attendees. Visitors are asked to remain in their vehicles until their allotted time and required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. with Prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 10 a.m. Interment Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. The mass will also be available by logging on to Holy Cross Croatian Church Facebook page: www.facebook.com/holycrosscroatian. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
