It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother Anica Starcevic, on Sunday, January 30, 2022. Anica is predeceased by her husband Milan Ivan and her parents Tome and Matija Susic. She is survived by her daughters, Mary (Zvonko) Juric, and Dianne Starcevic.
She will be sadly missed by her four grandchildren Jasen and Amanda Juric, and Thomas and Victoria Herren. She is survived by her only brother Milan (Marija) in Zagreb Croatia.
Anica was born September 15, 1930, in Budak Lika, Croatia, and immigrated to Toronto, Canada, in 1956 where she met her husband, Milan. In 2001 Anica and Milan moved to Georgetown after living in Port Colborne for over 45 years. Here they established new roots alongside their family and friends. They dedicated their lives to their children and grandchildren.
Anica and her husband Milan were very involved in the Croatian community and attended numerous picnics and dances over the years along with many cultural events. They most enjoyed their evening and weekends with friends sharing a coffee and enjoying Anica's traditional home baking.
