Our beautiful and beloved N na, Anita M. Belleni Vidjak, was born in Rijeka, Croatia, on August 22, 1935. She was the most loving, intelligent, gorgeous and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Anita's life was truly remarkable and serves as an inspiration to those that had the honor to know her. Anita survived war and tragedy as a child, giving her strength to pursue her dreams in an academic and professional career.

She quickly became Chief Administrator for a global maritime shipping company. Anita found her soulmate and love of her life, Frank V. Vidjak, when studying in Rijeka. Together, Anita and Frank created the strongest marriage and partnership for almost 70 years. They married in 1956 at St. Anthony's Basilica in Padova, Italy.

Through the help of the Catholic Church in Italy, the couple pursued their lifelong dream of reaching freedom and independence in the United States. They settled in Palos Verdes, Southern California. Anita was a wonderful mother and avid businesswoman, her family was her heart and soul. By working tirelessly as entrepreneurs, Anita and Frank built their American Dream.

Anita was a proud American citizen and always represented her US citizenship as well as Croatian and Italian. When Croatians fought for independence in the Yugoslavia war, Anita ran fundraisers and visited war zones to support her country. For numerous years, she was Vice President of the Croatian American Club in San Pedro. Anita's passions included spending time with her family and friends.

She was an expert florist and loved spending special time with granddaughters and their dogs, cats and horses. She enjoyed hosting wonderful parties, being a fashionista, reading, and traveling the world - most importantly - always being by the side of her best friend and husband, Frank. She loved spending time at home in Palos Verdes, Catalina Island and Split, Croatia.

She never hesitated to support those in need and was a constant support system to those she loved. Anita serenely joined the Lord on August 1, 2023, surrounded by her family. Anita continues to be in spirit, a devoted wife, mother, N na and friend. She is incredibly missed and her presence is with her family each day.

Anita is survived by her husband Frank, daughter Marina-Ann Vidjak, son-in-law Steve Simeral, son Dr. Frank M.A. Vidjak, daughter-in-law Dr. Fanny Yacaman, granddaughter Francesca Vidjak Simeral and grandson-in-law Teddy Baker, and granddaughter Nic¢le Vidjak Simeral.
