We are grateful that she was able to pass peacefully and surrounded by the love of her family.

Anne was born January 29, 1938 and was predeceased by Ivan, her beloved husband (June 2020) of almost 60 years. Much loved Mother to Sandy (Gerry Robichaud), Gary and Darlene (Ed Loo). Much loved and most caring and proud Baba and Baka to David (Gabby) and Hanna. Devoted daughter to Jure and Mare Sertic (predeceased 1999). Dear sister to Mile Sertic (predeceased 2020) and dear sister-in-law Frieda. Dear big sister to Mary Cosic and dear brother-in-law Mile. Teta Annie to nieces and nephews, Helen, Joe, Michael and cousins Anne, Mary and John and their families.

Anne was very devoted to her Catholic faith and was a parishioner at Holy Cross Croatian Church for over 60 years. During their younger years, our parents were very much involved in the Croatian community and attended all the church banquets, dances, picnics and Midland outings. They enjoyed spending many happy times with their Kumovi and friends.

Our Mother was the best baker, the best chef and grew the most fragrant roses. She was kind, caring, supportive and cherished her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Dementia took over your memory the last few years Mom, but we trust in God, that you are now at peace and that you know how much we all love you.

You will live on forever in our hearts.

Thank you to the palliative care team of wonderful doctors and nurses at St. Joseph's Hospital, who provided comfort to our mom during her last few days. Thank you to Father Marko for visiting our mom and for your prayers and blessings. Thank you to Lily, Meghan and Anthonette for providing warm and kind assistance to our mom at her home. Thank you to our mother's neighbours who watched out for her.

Grief never ends, but it changes. It is a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith. Grief is the price of love.
