PRLIC, Ante October 14, 1928 – July 22, 2021 Ante passed away peacefully at home on July 22, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Croatia on October 14, 1928, arrived in Canada in 1958, and settled in Vancouver in 1961. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Zora, daughters Helen and Antonia, and grandson Davor.
Ante was a strong, proud, resolute man, and caring father who had a welcoming word for all.
He had a passion for his Croatian Heritage that was evident through his actions and written word. He dedicated his life to building a strong Croatian Community and advocated tirelessly for an independent Croatia. He expressed his emotions of longing and immigrant struggles through his poetry, but he never wavered from his pride of being Canadian and building a better Canada.
Ante’s legacy will live well beyond his 92 years. We will forever miss his youthful spirit and the twinkle in his eye.

Funeral Mass and Prayers will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, July 30, 2021, at The Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Parish, Vancouver. Committal service will follow at 2:30pm at the Ocean View Burial Park, Abbey Mausoleum, Burnaby.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Catholic Parish. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.bellburnaby.com
