It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Tony Kanjer at the age of 70 on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 in Burnaby, BC. Tony was born in Mrkopalj, Croatia on July 23, 1951.
A Funeral Mass will be held for Tony on Tuesday, July 5th at 11:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Church (3105 1 Ave. E Vancouver, BC), followed by a Celebration of Life at the Croatian Cultural Centre (3250 Commercial Drive, Vancouver BC) at 1:00 pm.
Tony is predeceased by his father, Ivan Kanjer, father-in-law Rudi Ranogajec, and brother-in-law John Plese. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Kanjer, mother, Danica Kanjer, mother-in-law Barbara Ranogajec, brother Slav Kanjer (Vesna), sisters Maryanne Brunato (Dino) and Angela Dasovic (Nick), sister-in-law Kathy Plese, children, Christina, Anthony, Mariana (Donato) and Adrian, and grandchildren Teo, Ella and Roko, as well as many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends in Canada, USA and Croatia.
