Barbara A. (Busija) Chadonic, 97, died Friday, Feb. 26, 2021 at St. Anne Home, in Greensburg, where she was a resident. She was formerly of Bessemer Terrace, in East Pittsburgh, and also East McKeesport.
Beloved and treasured mother of Maurine Chadonic; loving grandmother of Christopher (Elizabeth) Peer, of Mt. Lebanon, Christy (Thomas) Zimmerman, of Mars, and Cody (Christy) Peer, of Maryland; proud great-grandmother of Cortland, Melia, Tessa and Savannah Peer, Nola Michael, T.J. and Aurora Zimmerman, Colton and Cayden Peer.
Barb was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Obruba, Goldie Vucic and Ann Busija; and her brother, Stephen Busija. Barb was the head teller at Mellon Bank, East Pittsburgh, with over 20 years of service. She devoted much of her spare time as the caregiver for her mother.
Barb was a member of the Christian Mothers of St. Agnes Church. She was a former officer of the Croatian Catholic Union lodge and member of the Croatian Fraternal Union, Lodge No. 141, of East Pittsburgh. Barbara deeply appreciated her Croatian culture and music and attended many Croatian picnics, dances, bowling tournaments and celebrations throughout her life.
