It is with heavy hearts, but consoled by our faith in Jesus Christ, that we say goodbye to our beloved Branko, born October 28th, 1965 in Donji Hamzici, Citluk, Herzegovina and passed away January 15th, 2022 in Hamilton, ON, Canada.

Loving husband of Marija, greatly loved father of Bože, Ivan, Stipe and Mate, whom he was very proud of. Cherished son of Bože and the late Kata. Beloved brother to Ilija, Pero and Vesna and their families. Loved by uncles Ilija and Blago, aunts Nevenka and Andja and their families. Predeceased by aunt Jela, uncles Andrija, Pero and Stipe and mourned by their families. Also left grieving are families Prusina, Soldo, Ivankovic, Boras, Grubeša, Kožul, Pejic, Brkic, Beljo, many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and coworkers in Canada, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Branko married the love of his life Marija 28 years ago in their native Herzegovina. They immigrated to Canada in April 1994 and devoted their entire life for the betterment of their family and their community. Through his illness, Marija, together with their children, was an example of a devoted, faithful wife, being by Branko's side in every way possible, until his last breath.

Branko was an active member of his Croatian Franciscan Centre and Queen of Peace Parish, where he served as a member of parish council until his passing. Branko loved sports and served as a Coach and Manager to both Croatia Norval and Mississauga Croatia soccer clubs. He took pride in his employment with Mississauga Transit where he worked for the last 15 years and was well loved and respected among his colleagues.

Whatever he did, he did with pride, and joy, and he poured his heart into it. He was never afraid to speak his mind for what he believed was right. Branko loved life. He could light up a room with his contagious smile and big warm heart. Those that knew him will remember him as a goodhearted, generous and a God-fearing person who would always offer a helping hand. As one of his friends wrote "The world has lost one of the best people I have ever known" or the other "Zbogom, divni covjece!"

As per Branko's wishes he will be laid to rest in Elezovac Cemetery, Donji Hamzici, Citluk in his native Herzegovina. Branko left Herzegovina, but Herzegovina never left him.

Počivaj u miru Božjem.
