Christine Muzinich Lang

Christine passed away at age 86 on January 11th, 2022, after living 24 years with cancers. She was blessed to see two of her granddaughters get married and the birth of her great grandson. Those events brought her so much joy.

She was born in San Rafael on March 3, 1935, to immigrant parents that came from Split, Croatia. Chris, her husband Ed, and daughter Nancy went to Split in 2019 to see the country her parents came from, a lifelong dream.

Chris and Ed met while attending San Rafael High School but didn't know each other well as Ed is two years older. When they saw each other at a dance hall in Guerneville, the romance began. Lucky to be married for 64 years, they have three daughters, Sharon (Leon) Gemini, Judy (Mike) Puccioni and Nancy (Don) Woods. She loved being "Baba" to her three granddaughters, Rachelle (Garrett) Rehs, Tara (Justin) Batey and Leann Gemini. Christine always loved babies and was delighted to meet her first great grandchild, Nathan Batey.

Always in a good mood, Chris was a stay-at-home mom that raised independent girls. She was very easy-going letting the kids have friends stay the night with frequent fort building in the living room. But there were rules, only two cookies in your lunch for school. She had endless patience with Ed's constant house building and remodeling.
They moved to Sonoma in 1975 and built another home. She loved to work in her yard but her least favorite was cleaning up the leaves from the many oak trees on the property. Her passion was window shopping and garage sale hunting; never getting tired to be on her feet all day (the energizer bunny)! A loving wife, mom and Baba who will be missed dearly.
