KASUN, Cvetko, 77, died unexpectedly following a year-long battle with his health on July 5th, 2021,. at his home for the past 14 years in Naples Florida , with his wife at his side. He was born in Veliki Jadrc on January 15th, 1944. Son of Andrija and Berica Kasun.
Cvetko’s parents were killed shortly after his birth and he was raised by his grandmother Marica Vrbanac and the wonderful people from the villages of Mali and Veliki Jadrc in Croatia. In his mind, they were all his family. He was pre-deceased by his only child, Andrew Kasun, Uncle Thomas Kasun and grandmother. Cvetko was a retiree of Ford Motor Company.
He is survived by wife Audrey Kasun of Naples, Florida and brother Andrija Kasun of Tecumseh, Ontario, two Godsons Ivo Frankovic of BC and Marko Kasun of Brantford and a Goddaughter Andrea Mellinger of Pennsylvania. Family members include Allen and Catherine Mellinger (Ethan and Andrea, Victoria and Stephen Bush, Bodie & Deacon) of Connellsville, Pennsylvania, and Daniela and Charles Sams (Emily, Olivia, and Travis) of South Lyon Michigan.
Also closely related Ivica and Maryann Kasun (Zelko, Daniella & Chris, and Marko)of Bramford, Ontario. Marica and Zelko Kralacic (Zoran & Sandra,Mario & Anna) and Jasna Miheljic all of Croatia. George and Marica Sutlic of Windsor, Ontario and Ivan and Nancy Pavlic (Daniel, Kristin & Diana) , of Lasalle, Ontario, Edo and Marica Canjar of Toronto. And Cvetko's boys Jean Chenier, Richard Argent, Randy Joinville Jr. and Douglas Desjardin from Windsor Ontario. Cvetko had many buddies he would want to acknowledge Steve Babic, Kamilo Nuic and Dave Kenney.
There are numerous loving family members and friends scattered throughout Croatia, and Canada and the USA. Cvetko will be entombed in a crypt above his son Andrew Kasun at Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Windsor Ontario Canada. A memorial service to honor and celebrate Cvetko’s life will be held at a later date when all COVID-19 restrictions are lifted and Americans are again welcome in Canada.
