Our dearest Dinko Klarin was born on December 19, 1936 and went home to be with the Lord on March 23, 2022 at the age of 85 in Huntington Beach, California.
Dinko, second child to Miro and Mary, born on the island of Rava, Croatia, immigrated to San Pedro in 1946. He graduated from San Pedro High School in 1955, where he "lettered" in gymnastics. He loved to play soccer as well.
He served in the army from 1956-1958 and was stationed in Germany. He continued to serve his country as a fireman from 1962-1995 where he retired at the rank of Captain II. He was passionate about his family and Croatian heritage.
Dinko is survived by his beloved wife, Marti, of almost 39 years, his daughters, Diana (Dave), and Danette (Steve), his son Dan (Kim), his grandchildren: Gil, Nicolette, Elizabeth, Chris and Matt, his great-grandchildren: Levi and Lincoln, his brother John (Jayne), his sister Jo Ann (Rick), brother-in-law Bill (Kendra) and many nephews and nieces.
