Emma J. Rauschenberger, 93, of Souderton, died Friday at the Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown.
Born March 4, 1928, in Osijek, Croatia, she was the daughter of the late Willibald and Luzie Zarkovic Hoechtl. She immigrated to the United States in 1952 with her husband and son, Willibald. They lived in Doylestown, then she moved to Elkdale for 33 years, and later to Sarasota, Florida, and Souderton, near her son, Rudolph. She graduated high school and business school in Croatia and was a dressmaker. She worked for Bonwitt-Taylor and then owned and operated La Cuturiere in Doylestown.
She is survived by sons, Willibald and wife, Charlene Rauschenberger, Sarasota, Fla.; and Rudolph and wife, Elizabeth Rauschenberger, Souderton; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Ingeburg Hoechtl; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Karen Rauschenberger; ex-husband, Johannes Rauschenberger; and sisters, Herta Jonach and Alma Hoechtl.
Services are private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford.
