Beloved husband of Nada, for just shy of 62 years. Loving father of Michael (Victoria), and Debra Woolvett (Sean). Proud and cherished Dedo of Kayla, Owen, Maia, and Matthew.
Dear brother of the late Zvonko (the late Ivka) and Anton (Carol). Brother-in-law of the late Zvonko Peteranac (Linda), and the late Joe Smukovic (Anna). Frank will be dearly missed by his many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Canada, Croatia, and Australia.
An avid sportsman, he loved fishing, golf, bocce, bowling and watching all sports, especially the Montreal Canadiens and the “Vatreni.” He was a longtime member of over 64 years of the Croatian Fraternal Union and founding member of the Croatian Club Karlovac. He retired from Dofasco Ironmaking after 39 years of dedicated service.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Joseph Berlingieri at Joseph Brant Hospital, and Dr. John Neary, Dr. David Flaherty, Dr. Marcel Tunks, Dr. David Choi and his speech pathologist Anthony Wood as well as the entire teams at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Joseph Brant Hospital for the exceptional care given to Frank and his family.
