Frano Kožul “Frank”, age 79. Late of Vets Park. Passed away on September 14, 2025. Loving father “Tata” of Kristina (Tom) Kielbasa, Ružica “Rose” (late Jaime) Cuadra, and Jenny Kožul (Anthony Mercado). Cherished grandfather “Dedo” of Nicholas, Ana, Kristian, Mate, Aiden, Lilyana, Sonja, Autumn, Magdalena, Olivia, Sofia, Lucas, and Charlotte. Dearest brother “Brat” of Miljenko (Zita) Kožul sa obitelj, Blago (Zora) Kožul sa obitelj, Vesna Bilac (Pokojni Stojan) sa obitelj. Pokojni brat Zarko Kožul sa obitelj, Pokonje sestre Nada Anusic, Anka Matkovic i Iva Brekalo sa obiteljima. Survived by his former wife Milka Kožul, many nieces, nephews, cousins, kumovi, and friends.
Frano was a longtime parishioner of Sacred Heart Croatian Catholic Church. He loved Vets Park with his close knit community of family friends, as well as his beloved Church where his heart will always reside. His door was always open to friends and family. Always ready to make a cup of Turkish coffee and prepare everyone’s favorite “Casino style” veal sandwich or the many other meals he loved to prepare.
Him and his brothers came to America together and were always at each other’s side. He was always there to love and support his daughters even when they didn’t know they needed it. Above all, his grandchildren were his pride and joy. All thirteen of them were his world. He spoiled them with all of their favorite candy and his endless supply of m&ms. He spoke so highly of them to everyone, always went above and beyond to make sure they knew how much he loved them. They will forever be Dedine Cure i Momci.
He had a heart of gold and will be missed sincerely. The world has truly lost a legend. Our hearts will be forever grateful for the love and care he bestowed upon us all. We were lucky to have such an exceptional father, dedo, brother and friend to have called our own.
