Passed away at the Juravinski Hospital, on Wednesday, November 23, only 2 weeks short of his 79th birthday.
He is predeceased by his son Sinisa “Marko”. Survived by his son Michael (Carol). Dido to Christopher (Eleanor), Stephanie (Brian) and Daniel (Gimhani) and great Dido to Caroline and Amaya. Ilija is also survived by his sister Ane (Miro), in Croatia and many nieces and nephews in Canada and Croatia, and predeceased by siblings Pero, Mato, Luce, Ljuban and Seka.
He enjoyed badminton with his ‘Badminton Family” and was a champion dart player.
