Passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loved ones, on Sunday, January 31, 2021. Beloved husband of Katica Janakovic. Loving father of Matija (Krystal) and Maryanne Noble (Jeremy). Cherished Deda of Connor, Sofija, Matija, Katherine, Lillian, and Ivan.
Survived by his mother Sofija, predeceased by his father Mato. Dear brother of Marica Ladesic (Franjo) and family. Predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Kata and Petar Flanjak. Lovingly remembered by his uncle and aunts, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins and many nieces and nephews.
Ivan's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 Thursday, February 4 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Relatives and friends must reserve a time to attend by visiting the funeral home website or by telephone. A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Croatian Church on Friday, February 5, 2021. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
