Ivan Kuzma, 93, of Clearwater , Florida, passed away on October 12, 2026.
Ivan was born on September 23, 1933, in Rakotele, Croatia. He experienced World War II as a child, where he began his life as a farmer, In 1969, seeking a better future for his family, Ivan immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio, with his wife, Antonia, and his son, John. There, he began a new career as a welder, a trade he devoted himself to for the next 30 years. The hearing loss and chronic back pain he carried in his later years stood as testament to the sacrifices he made so his family could have a better life.
In his free time, Ivan took great joy in making his own wine, as well as always tinkering or fixing something. After retiring in Cleveland, Ivan and Antonia moved to Oldsmar, Florida, in 2002 to be closer to their son, John. Following Antonia's passing, Ivan spent his final four years living with John's family, remaining close to the people he loved most.
Ivan is remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He adored his granddaughter, Kristi, and would watch her as if she was a TV.
Ivan was preceded in death by his wife, Antonia Kuzma. He is survived by his son, John, his wife Jennifer and granddaughter, Kristi as well as two sisters Zora Kuzma and Ana Kazalac.
