Ivan Vucic passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Victoria General Hospital with his family by his side.
Ivan was born in Croatia August 17, 1949 and immigrated to Canada in 1974. Soon after he met his soon-to-be-wife Danuta. Marriage followed in 1976, as did the birth of his 3 children whom he loved with all his heart. He was a hardworking man who always put providing for his family at the very forefront of his responsibilities. He joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in 1976 and worked as an electrician all over Canada throughout his career.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years, Danuta, and his 3 children who are his pride and joy: Albert (Analucia), Emily (Bryce), and Christopher. He also leaves behind a large extended family both in Croatia and Victoria.
Described by all who knew him as a caring, generous, and loyal man. Someone who always placed his family first and would do anything in the world to ensure they were safe, healthy, and happy. When not working, Ivan loved to read about anything science related. He was a self-educated wizard of mathematics, electronics, and astronomy.
He will be forever loved and sadly missed.
