Born the daughter of the late Anthony and Barbara Baburich. Sister of the late Robert "Butch" Baburich.
Joanne was longtime employee of the Croatian Fraternal Union of America. She was proud of her Croatian heritage and was actively involved serving as president of CFU lodge #141 and a councilwoman of Chalfant.
She also worked as a choreographer of various junior tamburitzan groups. Joanne also served as a chairman in CFU bowling tournaments and participated in many events. She also enjoyed the CFU basketball tournaments. Joanne was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan and started the Bill Mazeroski fan club.
