Joanne M. Nevins (nee Hafran)
Born to Eternal Life on April 21, 2021, at the age of 82 in Milwaukee. She will be remembered lovingly by her son Chuck (Terri), daughter-in-law Stephanie and cherished grandchildren Charlie, Elena, Nathaniel and Theodore. She will be further missed by her brother Robert (Nita) Hafran, former husband Craig (Susie) Nevins, relatives and friends.
Joanne was greeted into heaven by her son Tom and her parents, Mary and Elmer Hafran. Joanne attended St. John De Nepomuc Grade School, Messmer High School and Marquette University (class of '61) where she developed lifelong friendships.
She was an elementary school teacher with a passion for educating herself, her own children and her students which endured throughout her lifetime.
Joanne was proud of the Croatian heritage on her mother's side, studying language and dance in her younger days. Later, she would often end her phone calls with "Ja Te Ljubim" (I love you).
The family sincerely thanks the staff at St. Camillus for their compassionate care. Private services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Wisconsin Parkinson Association.
