Johanna Pulisic, 86, formerly of Harrisburg, was called by God to enter His heavenly gates and be with her husband again on February 25, 2022. Born January 8, 1936, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Frances DiStefano.

Johanna lived a full life of faith on Long Island until retiring from Stony Brook University, where she had been a purchasing agent, and moved closer to enjoy her family in Harrisburg and Ashland, Virginia.

She loved cooking – a fact to which anyone lucky enough to have one of her meals could attest. Johanna was a fashionista who loved shopping and all things gold and leopard. Johanna was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Mate Pulisic, and her brother, James DiStefano.

She is survived by her three sons Steven (Diane), Matthew (Jennifer) and Mark (Kelley); nine grandchildren, Brent (Kelly), Nicole (Brian), Chase, Joseph, Thomas (Molly), Devyn, William, Christian, and Allison, who will truly miss their "GJo," as they called her; and two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Brianna. She is also survived by her niece, Gigi (Ben), who she welcomed into her family from war-torn Croatia and raised as her own.
