He will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 58 years, Marianne (nee Kolich); and children Lori Sestili (Emidio) and Linda Slobodnik (Joe). Grandfather to Kristen (Justin), Alicia, Anthony and Joshua.
Great-grandfather to Isabella. Uncle to Joanne Kutlesa (Miro) and family. Predeceased by his parents Ana and Julius Restek and his sister Sally Negovetic (Otto). We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Joanne who always thought of her uncle with warm cooked meals and a loving smile. Your kindness has always been appreciated. Thank you to all family members for their thoughts and prayers.
He will be fondly remembered by relatives in Canada, USA and Croatia. Joseph retired from Dofasco after 35 years as a Chemical Lab Tech. He loved social gatherings with family and friends and always seemed to be the last to leave any celebration. His love of music started at a young age as a member of the Croatian National Home and it continued throughout his life.
He was a member of several Croatian tamburica music groups, Lado, Zlatni Pajdasi and Festa as well as the CNH bowling league. He will be forever missed.
