It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of our father, and grandfather Josip Kozar, also know to all friends as Joe and Joza, on Wednesday May 26, 2021, peacefully in his home in Mount Hope, Ontario.
Josip was born August 18, 1936, in Milekovo Selo, Donja Stubica, Croatia to Dragutin and Danica Kozar. He is the father to Josip (Joe) Kozar Jr. (Sonja Bedic), and Danica (Donna) Kozar (David Edvalson), grandfather to Nadia Ava Rose Kozar, and husband of the late Ruza (Rose) Kozar. Josip is survived by his brother Steve Kozar of Mt. Hope, and sister Katica Novakovic of Hamilton.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews both in Canada and in Croatia. He was a proud extremely hardworking man who was very talented with his hands. Many people said he had hands of gold. He worked for over 20 years assisting his children in family business. He was a "jack of all trades" who always loved to joke around.
Private Family Visitation to take place on Friday June 4th, with Entombment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
