Peacefully passed away at Arbour Creek Care Centre in Hamilton on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at the age of 92, surrounded by the love of family.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Zorica (2016). Cherished father of Branko (Marta), John (Debbie), Joe (Annette), and Evana Agostini (Luigi). Loving Deda of Natasha and Nickolas. Josip was the youngest and last surviving of thirteen siblings. He will be fondly remembered by all of his extended family in Canada and Croatia. A loving husband, father, and Deda, he will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved him. The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful staff of Arbour Creek Care Centre - Hawthorne House for their kind and compassionate care of Papa.
Due to COVID-19, all events are restricted to a specified number of attendees. Please RSVP in advance for visitation by calling 905-547-1121. Visitors are asked to remain in their vehicles until their allotted time and required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing. Visitation at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King St. E. on Thursday April 8, 2021 from 3-7 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will be available by logging on to Holy Cross Croatian Church Facebook page: www.facebook.com/holycrosscroatian on Friday April 9th at 10 a.m. Private interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
