It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and Friend, Joso Lulic who passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 14, 2023 at the age of 73. Joso will be lovingly remembered by his niece Rosie (Eduard) Peric and nephew Steven (Kate) Hecimovic and their families in Vancouver, brother in law Nikola Hecimovic, Ujna Mitzi Basic, Ujna Anka Basic, cousins and extended family and friends, Sister Kate (Stipe) Zupan in Croatian and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends in Croatia, Canada, Switzerland, and Australia.
Joso was born on April 24, 1950 to Nikola and Franjka in Kosa, Lika, Croatia. He was the sixth of seven children, the first born son who was adored by his older sisters and younger brother. Joso immigrated to Canada in 1972 to join his sister Ankica.
Joso/Joe was a kind and happy man and a wonderful friend to all. He was the life of the party wherever he went. His accordion and song brought joy to everyone. Joso played soccer for the Croatian soccer team for many years and was a proud member of the Croatian Community. Joso recently retired from the Vancouver Parks Board where he happily worked in Stanley Park for over 50 years.
