Jozef A. Freimuth, 80, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 peacefully at his home. He was born in Ledenik, Croatia on February 29, 1940, the son of the late Andreas Freimuth and Paulina Urosevic.
In addition to his parents he's preceded in death by his first wife Shirley Freimuth, daughter Mary Jo Freimuth, sisters Agica Dautovic, Katica Mesic, Marika Salihovic, and stepfather Milomir Urosevic.
He is survived by four brothers: Johan "John" Freimuth and his wife Diane of Orlando, Fla.; Ljubomir "Lou" Urosevic-Savage and his wife Deborah of Huntington Beach, Calif., Andrija "Andrew" Urosevic of Durham, N.C., and Mirko Urosevic of Pula, Croatia. He is also survived by his daughter Emily Freimuth of Erie and son Jim Freimuth and his wife Ariana of Atlanta, Ga. as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was a very proud member of Laborers Union Local 603 for over 40 years. He also enjoyed John Wayne movies, shows about history, and reading the Bible. He attended the Federated Church in East Springfield, Pa. as well as the St. James AME Church.
