Surrounded by the love of his family, and with his wife Ljubica by his side, the family of Jura Luke sadly announce his peaceful passing at Innisfree House in Kitchener, on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at the age of 72 .
Jura is survived by his wife Ljubica of 47 years and is the much loved father and father-in-law of Ivan and Katarina and Alan and Claudia. Adored Deda to Georgia, Nikolina, Xavier and Martina.
Jura is predeceased by his parents Ivan and Ana and brother Ivan and Magda.
Mother and Father-in-law Roza and Drago Kladusan.
He leaves to mourn his brother, Vlado and Ljubica, along with his sisters, Barka and late husband Joza, Ankica and Ignac. Jura will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, lifelong family and friends.
Tinkering on things at the cottage, helping others with repairs and spending time with his grandkids is how he will lovingly be remembered. Jura also loved a good party with family and friends, enjoying his wine and playing the accordion.
A special thank you to the family and friends that offered their support this past year. We are also eternally grateful to the staff of LHIN Waterloo, ParaMed and Innisfree House for their dedication, care and support.
Jura's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 5:30-8:30pm. Friends must RSVP to attend visitation and masks are mandatory.
Due to covid restrictions, the family will celebrate a private Catholic Funeral Mass at Holy Family Croatian Church and interment at Woodland Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Holy Family Croatian Church and Innisfree House would be greatly appreciated.
