Jure Biondic (Duro) of San Jose passed away peacefully at his home on December 10th, 2023 after a long battle with Parkinson's.
He was born in Croatia on April 25th, 1953, immigrated to California in 1978 and started a job at Quartz International where he worked for many years and later moved on to LP Glassblowing where he worked alongside his longtime friend Drago.
Jure retired in July 2022. Jure is survived by devoted wife Emily of 43 years, sons Robert, Ivan and Tomislav, daughter Katarina, grandchildren Jure, Ivano, Roman, Dante, Lilyana and Luka, brother Božo, sister-in-law Ljubica, brother-in-law Ivan, nieces Ivana and Marija, son-in-law Christopher and daughters-in-law Ana and Kelsey.
Jure was a very simple man, loved by everyone. In his younger days he loved to play soccer and enjoyed fishing. He enjoyed watching sports in his free time especially when his teams Forty Niners and Lakers were playing.
He loved taking care of his yard, gardening and was proud of his vegetable garden and fruit trees he planted. Being DIDA (grandpa) was one of his greatest joys, he adored his grandsons and granddaughter and they all sure loved him.
