In Memory of Krešimir Pavao Kuhar, age 90, of North Olmsted, Ohio, received his last rites and passed away in peace on the evening of July 18th, 2024, with his son at his bedside.
Krešimir, fondly known as Kreso, was born on May 1st, 1934, in Batrina, Croatia. He and his wife, Katarina, who survives him, immigrated to the United States in 1959 as newlyweds with only two forks, two plates, and twenty-five dollars in their possession. Together, they built a life in North Olmsted and raised three children. With a mechanical machinist degree, Krešimir worked as a life-long machinist manager. He valued his Roman Catholic faith, family, education, and hard work.
He leaves a legacy through his wife, Katarina Kuhar; son, Mario Krešimir Kuhar (married to Joy Kuhar); daughters, Jasna Maria Kuhar and Tatiana Slavica Pommer (married to Bryan Pommer); grandchildren, Dalton Kuhar (married to Anthony Fine), Rives Kuhar, Conor Pommer, Isabella Pommer, and Charles Pommer; great-grandson Krešimir Holmes Fine; brother-in-law, Zeljko Stjepan Junković (sons, Mladin Junković and Christopher Junković [married to Tiffany Junković, daughter Isadora Junković]).
Krešimir is preceded in death by his parents, Ljudevit Lujo and Katarina Kuhar (nee Perse); sister, Lidia Kuhar; nephew, Pjer Philipot; and niece, Iris Philipot.
