Ljubica was born February 24, 1942 in Zagorje (Ogulinsko), Croatia to the late Anton and Marija Grdic (nee Luketic).
She married the love of her life, Mile Galic, on August 17, 1963. Ljubica was a devout Catholic with a resourceful and strong work ethic and impeccable attention to detail.
She was an excellent cook and her home baked goods were not only delicious but were a presentation worthy of the finest bakery. She was an amazing wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin, friend and proud Croatian who deeply loved her heritage as well as her American homeland. Ljubica's life embodied the phrase Fiat Voluntas Tua, Thy Will be Done, as she gracefully and bravely accepted the will of God for her life. She will never be forgotten and always cherished for her unwavering devotion to her family. The family wishes to thank the staff of Danbury Mentor and Hospice of Western Reserve for their kind and compassionate care in Ljubica's final days.
Ljubica is survived by her beloved husband, Mile; her devoted children: Mary and John (Sandra); her most loved grandchildren: Anthony Raguz and Petar and Anabela Galic; the dear families of the late Josip and Mate Luketic in Cleveland as well as many loving family members in Boston, Croatia and Hercegovina.
