Mrs. Ljubica (Anne) Vukelic, age 88 years, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2024 at St. Joseph's Hospice with family by her side.
Anne was born on February 29, 1936 in Krivi Put, Senj, Croatia. She spent most of her life in Toronto with husband Tomislav (Tom) and daughter Lana where she worked in sales at the flagship Eaton's.
After Tom passed away, she moved to Thunder Bay to be with family. She loved spending time with her daughter and granddaughter, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was full of life and enjoyed being with family and brought out the best in people. Anne made everyone she met feel loved. She enjoyed travelling, reading about politics and history and famous influencers.
Anne will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lana Vukelic; granddaughter Megan Vukelic; her sister-in-law Marija Pavelic; nephews Damir Pavelic and Drago Krmpotic (Barbara); nieces; Anita (David) Braxton, their son Talon, and Danica as well as her nieces and nephews in Croatia.
Anne was predeceased by husband Tom Vukelic; brothers Ivan, Franjo and Josip and sisters Zlata, Mira and Lucia.
The Vukelic family would like to thank all nurses of the TBRHSC-ER department, stations B and D and Dr. Olga Kisselgoff and Dr. Katie Simpson. Thank you, Dr., Bezanson and to all the doctors and nurses at St. Joseph's, Hospice Unit for exceptional care.
