Maria Bozicek (nee Mesaros), age 83 of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed peacefully at her home, embraced by her family’s love and friend’s prayers on September 5, 2021.
Born in Croatia, Maria journeyed to Philadelphia with her young family later settling in Cinnaminson, NJ. She found joy in each new season. With the rush and newness of Spring, she could be found planting flowers and vegetables in her beautiful gardens. Summer was the time to enjoy the harvest and warm evenings in her backyard. Maria most enjoyed the stillness of Fall, knowing it was time to reflect, rest and take in the splendor of the changing leaves. Winter brought quiet snowfalls and the bustle of her Christmas Eve feast and most-loved family celebration. Maria cherished her family and friends as far as Europe and as near as her neighborhood, keeping them always in her thoughts and heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudi, of 57 years; and her adoring mother Anna and father Antun. She was also predeceased by her brothers András and Miśa. She was a loving mother to her devoted sons, Erik (Gabrielle), Mario (Jeanne), and stepson Zeljko (Brigitte); adoring grandmother of Cassandra, Brian, and Karolina; great grandmother of Leona. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends, and she leaves behind her four-footed buddy, Chip.
Maria’s family will hold services for her privately. A Catholic Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at St. Charles Borromeo in Cinnaminson, NJ.
