It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Baka, Marica Spudic (née Stojkovic), on October 24, 2021 at 91 years of age. She was surrounded by those who loved her most; her son, Zdravko; her daughter-in-law, Mary; her granddaughters Marina (Raj), Jasmine (Ash) and Cassandra, as well as her great grandchildren (Akston, Aria and Aliyana). She also leaves behind her daughter, Ana (Steve), and grandchildren, Bianca and Steven.
Marica was born on March 14, 1930 to Marko and Ljubica Stojkovic in Karlovac, Croatia. She immigrated to Canada in 1968 with her devoted husband, Josip Spudic (1928-2000) and their children.
Baka was an affectionate woman of insurmountable strength, resilience and faith with an infectious laugh. Her greatest joy was her family. She will be forever missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her and loved her.
