Born in Kula Atlagic, Croatia to the late Ilija and Mitra Sankovic, Marija lived in Croatia before coming to the United States and settling in Clifton. A homemaker, she was devoted to the care of her family. She loved to cook, knit, go outside, and spend time with her family.
Predeceased by her husband, Milan Custic; her brothers, Miso & Gojko Sankovic and her sister Boja Sankovic. She is survived by her children, Neven Custic and Petar Custic; four grandchildren, Dragana Custic, Michael Custic, Vanesa Gazic, and Milijan Custic.
The funeral service and burial will be in Croatia.
