It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear wife, mother and baka surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 in her 79th year.
Beloved wife of Jure (George) of 59 years. Loving mother of Joyce (Charles 1999) Mercier, Tony (Liana), Robert (Ania) Pavelich. Beloved baka of Michelle (Alex), Nicholas, Lillianna, Maja, Charlie and Ann. Beloved sister-in-law, Teta and Ujna to many nieces and nephews in Croatia. Predeceased by her parents Marica and Marko Trtanj, in-laws Ante and Ana Pavelic, sister Manda (Ante) Jurjevic and son in law Charles (Chuck) Mercier.
Mary was born in Jezerane, Lika, Croatia on January 21, 1944. After living in Germany for two years they immigrated to Canada in 1968. They moved from Kapuskasing Ontario to Thorold in 1987. She was a kind, generous and loving person, greatly cherished by her family and friends. She will be missed by those who's lives she touched.
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the caring and compassionate nursing staff in the Telemetry department of the Welland hospital.
