It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Baka, and PraBaba on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Allendale Long Term Care Home.
Mary was born on December 11, 1930, in her beloved Volavje, Croatia to Franjo (passed 1979) and Jelka Kostelac (passed 1983). She was predeceased by her husband Stjepan (May 1973) and her grandsons, Stephen and John (1988).
She leaves behind her daughter, Millie, and son Frank (Julie), grandchildren, Nicholas, Stephanie (James), Samantha, Steven, Ryan, and Jenna (Mike), along with her great-grandchildren Brooke, Jack, and Cameron.
Mary was an active member of the Croatian Community through the Croatian Churches in Toronto and Mississauga, as well as the Croatian National Home in Toronto. She was a hard worker and dedicated to her family. We will forever remember the smell of her baking filling our homes and hearts.
The family wishes to extend our thanks to Allendale Long Term Care Home for their compassionate care of Mary.
