With broken hearts we are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of our beautiful Marina, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 41.
The most amazing wife and best friend of Vjenceslav “Vjence” of 18 years. Precious and adored daughter of Steve and Anica Babić. Loving and devoted mother to Oktavijan, Henrik and Dominik, who were her everything. She is now reunited with her daughter, her beautiful angel, Evaneja Brigita (2005).
She will be deeply missed by her loving siblings; Bernardica Rodzik (Jonathon), Valentina Pavicić (Frank) and Christopher Babić (Tonya). Dear sister in-law of Stanislav Jurković. Beloved daughter in-law of Katica “Kathy” Jurković and the late Vencek “Vince”. Granddaughter of the late Josip Mamić (Jaka) and Blaz Babić (Jeka). Treasured and extraordinary aunt of Nathaniel, Delphine, Maximillian, Lucija, Ilija, Ivana, Alana, Rocco, Tiana and Roman. Cherished Goddaughter of Nellie Trojanšek (the late Vince) and Godmother of Delphine Rodzik and Collin Nielsen.
Marina is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins throughout Canada, Croatia, Bosnia & Hercegovina, USA and Germany. Marina was a talented artist with a gift and passion for writing and photography. She loved nature and always found beauty in everything. She was beautiful inside and out and always put others before herself, most of all her children. Marina was their biggest supporter, never missing a soccer game. She instilled in her children the importance of their culture and heritage.
Marina was a proud Croatian and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and community.
Visiting at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East, 519-253-7234, on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 4:30 p.m. A private family Mass will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. Masks must be worn at all times while in the funeral home. If you desire, donations may be made to a Trust Fund for Marina’s children or the St. Francis of Assisi Building Fund.
