Mark Robert, 52, of Los Angeles, California passed away suddenly in New York City. He was born in Los Angeles to Marko and Margaret Konjevod. Mark graduated from The University of Colorado at Boulder with a double major in Political Science and History, with an emphasis in WWII and recent American history.
While at the University of Colorado, he was on the NCAA Division 1 Varsity football team. Mark received an M.B.A. in Management and Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. Mark served on the National Board of Trustees of the WWII Museum in New Orleans, Louisiana after being nominated for his seat by former California State Governor, Pete Wilson; a position Mark proudly held for seven years.
Mark's career began on Wall Street in the 1990's with Bear Stearns. In 2005 Mark developed a sports product called Win, which was the first detergent ever to gain endorsements from the US Olympic Team, garnering the five Olympic rings on his bottle.
Mark's most recent chapter in his ongoing business career was in private equity. Mark leaves behind his grieving family - daughters Katharine and Alexandra; parents Margaret E Konjevod and Marko Konjevod; sister Joanna Konjevod and nephew Jackson Konjevod Karrer; brother David Naylor; sister-in-law Rebecca Konjevod; nieces Mara, Ana and nephew, Cooper.
Mark is predeceased by his brother John Fraser Konjevod in 2008. Mark lived life to the fullest each day, he was loyal to his family, a proud, loving father, and a fierce friend to all whom he loved. He loved to play tennis, ski, and was a frequent marathon runner. A world traveler, he had recently taken up photography and was an avid lover of music.
Mark will be deeply missed by all of his extended family in Croatia, Australia, and Canada, whom he visited regularly.
