Mary Ann (Batina) Lovrich, a lifelong resident of San Pedro, CA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on October 18, 2023. She was 85 years old.
Mary Ann graduated from San Pedro High School in the summer of 1955. After graduation, she worked at Security Pacific Bank, took a few years off to raise her family and went back, eventually promoted to Assistant Manager/Vice President. Everyone knew and loved her at the bank. When Bank of America bought them out, she continued her career across the street until her retirement in 1997.
In her free time, Mary Ann loved watching her kids and grandkids play sports. She loved to travel with her family to Catalina and Palm Springs. She enjoyed her travels to Croatia to explore her family history.
She loved to bake, crochet, and sew. She was also very active in many groups, including being a member of The Velike Gospe Society, Better Half Group, President of Ave Maria, President of the San Pedro Womens' Club and a member of the San Pedro Chapter of The Red Hat Society, aka Cranberry Tarts, which was founded by her sister Diane. She joined any bus destined for a casino and couldn't pass a slot machine without trying it.
She is preceded in death by her parents Marin and Maria Batina, her sisters Tina Ivankovic (Val) and Diane Spinosa, brother in law Bob Chor Jr., her husband Walter Lovrich, and her son, Nick Lovrich. She is survived by her children, John (Jennifer), Christy (Pat), and Marie (Eric), her grandchildren, Dustin (Jacqlyn), Jason, Dylan, Kyle and great grandchildren, Maverick, Maddox, Nixon, sister, Millie Chor, brother in law, Sal Spinosa, God Daughter, Tina Marie (Jeff) Mangarpan, fifth sister Natalie Sutlovich, and numerous extended family and friends.
