It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mary. She is finally reunited with her husband George (1996). Daughter of the late Anton and Mara Petrina.
She will be missed by her sons John (Sonya) and George (the late Nancy) and grandchildren Melany Owens (Chris), Melissa Gainfort (Tim), Anthony (Sarah) and Samantha.
Mary was the youngest of five children and predeceased by Ana, Alojz, Sofia Hlacar Vincec and Anton. Sister-in-law of Veronika Petrina, the late Anton Hlacar, Anton Vincec, the late Anka Jurkas (the late Janko), Nikola Podrebarac (the late Danica), Ivan Podrebarac (Ana) and Ljubica Jurkas (Frank).
Mary will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, United States, Croatia and Australia. Special thank you to the doctors, nurses, PSWs and the case worker at Juravinski and Bayshore.
All visitors will be required to wear a face covering, as well as, provide name and telephone number.
Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm with Prayers at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 11 am. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Donations to Holy Cross Croatian Church.
