Mathew J. Pavlovich, 86, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Monday, March 25, 2024.
Beloved life partner of 55 years and spouse to Anthony Mento; brother of Katherine (Dan) Dellich and the late Anthony (Sophia) Pavlovich, Anne (Tony) Slack, John Pavlovich, Steve (Maryann) Pavlovich, George Pavlovich, Lucas (Mary) Pavlovich, Mary (Joe) Baric, Frank (Gloria) Pavlovich and Milan Pavlovich; son of the late Ivan (John) and Agata (Agnes) Pavlovich.
He is a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Bell Township High School in 1956. He then graduated from IUP, earning bachelor's and master's degrees in education. He was the Principal for the Windber Elementary School in the Windber School District, eventually advancing to Elementary Supervisor and Assistant Superintendent of Schools. He served as Vice President of Croatian Fraternal Union (CFU) and Archangel St. Michael Lodge 10 of Export, PA.
Matt was very involved with family, whether going on vacation, visiting his siblings or inviting family over for his annual Christmas party. He also enjoyed playing cards, trips to casinos and gardening.
The family would like to thank the private and professional caregivers for their exceptional care.
