Mato was a devoted husband and father. He loved taking his family on vacation and truly enjoyed being on the beach. He stayed active in retirement by working out and doing home improvement projects. Above all, he treasured the weekly Sunday lunches with his children and grandchildren. Mato was a proud member of the Cleveland Croatian community and lifelong member of Hrvatski Domobran. He was passionate about Croatia and devoted to St. Anthony. He died peacefully on the Croatian national day of Dan Pobjede i Domovinske Zahvalnosti.
Beloved husband of Dragica (nee Kosec); dear father of Ante (Sarah), Drina (deceased) and Klara Wilson (Matt); grandfather of Maria and Nicholas; brother of Niko, Franjo and Drago; son of the deceased Domin and Klara.
