Michael Rataich, in his 80th year, of Stoney Creek, was called to his eternal rest on February 22, 2026. Born on August 31, 1946, in Draganić, Croatia. In 1968, he immigrated to Canada in search of opportunity and a better future.
Through dedication and perseverance to his family, he built a life marked by hard work and integrity. He retired after 38 years of service at Dofasco.
Michael was a devoted husband to Anne for 55 years. He was a loving and proud father to Sean (Lisa) and Stacy (Dave), and a cherished grandfather to Brandon, Mikael, Maya, and Max. His family was his greatest blessing and the centre of his life.
He found peace in the quiet of nature through fishing and hunting, and took great pride in tending to his garden. He enjoyed watching soccer and valued the simple moments spent in the company of family and friends.
