Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary (nee Vrbetic). Cherished father of Marianne Brklje and Christine Mrakuzic (Blazenko).
He will be forever missed by his precious granddaughter Mia (his ballerina) - the light of his life. He is predeceased by his parents Ivan and Katica Brklje-Feher and brother John Brklje. He is survived by his many in-laws, nieces, nephew, cousins and extended family in Croatia, Canada and Australia. He was a longtime parishoner of Holy Cross Church, member of CFU Lodge 644 and the Croatian National Home Bowling League.
He will always be remembered as an enthusiastic/patriotic soccer fan, the love of sports most notably skiing and playing professional hockey for the national team of Slovenia. He loved history and mechanics and was an expert at both. He had a profound love of nature and enjoyed feeding the outdoor birds and animals.
The family would like to express with special gratitude and appreciation for all of the family and friends who showed their love and supported him throughout his toughest journey. In addition, a special thank you to Dr. Yang and the nurses and doctors at St. Joseph's Hospital for their care and compassion.
